General Fee Schedule & Estate Plan Packages

Most of our estate planning services are billed as flat fees for a complete estate plan package.  There are very limited billable hours.  The exact fee for your estate plan package will be provided  after your estate planning consultation and will be detailed in your estate plan proposal.  It is not possible to give a firm price prior to the estate planning consultation because you may have a particular need or asset that requires special attention and which may impact your fees.  However, the information below provides a very good estimate.

Reznik Law, PLLC is unique in our comprehensive approach to estate planning, offering not only the essential legal documents clients need but also the tools to ensure their plan is well-organized and easily accessible.

The following items and services are included with every complete estate plan package:

Estate Planning Consultation

This meeting is conducted in-person at our Cary office or remotely via zoom.  The meeting typically takes about 60-75 minutes. The purpose of the consultation is to discuss your estate planning goals with an experienced attorney and the attorney will outline the best estate plan to achieve your goals.  There is a $250.00 consultation fee. This fee is paid at the time of consultation and is credited back to you and deducted from the cost of your complete estate plan package price, as long as you begin your estate planning within 2 months of your initial consultation.

Drafts Delivered VIA  Client Portal and Email

At Reznik Law, PLLC, we offer convenient estate plan document delivery through email and a secure client portal, ensuring that your important documents are easily accessible. This streamlined process allows you to review your drafts from anywhere, at your convenience.

Summary Letter

Having a comprehensive summary letter that explains your entire estate plan is crucial for ensuring that your wishes are clear and easily understood by both you and the person who will one day administer your estate. At Reznik Law, PLLC, we provide this personalized summary letter, offering our clients peace of mind by simplifying complex legal documents and helping future administrators navigate the process with confidence and clarity.

Draft Revisions

Having the opportunity to review your estate drafts before the signing appointment allows you to ensure that all aspects of your plan align with your wishes and provides time for thoughtful consideration. At Reznik Law, PLLC, we prioritize clear communication, offering the chance to speak directly with your attorney and make any necessary revisions, ensuring your estate plan is accurate and fully reflective of your intentions.

Reznik Law Estate Organizer

An estate organizer that details your asset inventory is crucial because it provides a clear, comprehensive record of your assets, making it easier for your executor or trustee to locate your assets and manage and distribute your estate efficiently and accurately.  Reznik Law, PLLC provides a digital estate organizer that clients can complete on their own

Signing Appointment

A proper signing appointment with two witnesses and a notary ensures that your estate documents are legally valid and enforceable, providing the necessary safeguards against potential challenges or disputes in the future.  Signings are conducted on Tuesdays, Wednesday and Thursday at our Cary office between the hours of 10:00am-3:00pm.  Reznik Law, PLLC provides the witnesses and notary for all in-office signing appointments.

USB Drive

At Reznik Law, PLLC, providing USB drive scans of all your signed documents and additional resources offers a convenient, secure way to access your estate plan anytime, ensuring you have everything you need at your fingertips and making it easier to manage your plan and share your signed documents for years to come.

Estate Binder

At Reznik Law, PLLC, we provide an organized estate binder containing all your signed documents and additional resources, offering you a comprehensive, easy-to-navigate reference that ensures your estate plan is accessible and well-maintained for you and your loved ones.

Post-Signing Checklist

Reznik Law, PLLC is unique in providing a customized post-signing checklist that guides clients through the necessary steps to ensure their estate or trust administration is as smooth and efficient as possible for their heirs. This proactive approach helps clients stay organized and ensures their loved ones can manage the estate with ease when the time comes.

Tangible Personal Property Distribution Memo

At Reznik Law, PLLC, we incorporate a personal property distribution memorandum into every estate plan.  This allows clients to easily outline how specific tangible items, such as family heirlooms or jewelry, should be distributed among their heirs. This customizable document can be updated over time, providing flexibility and ensuring that clients' wishes regarding personal property are clearly communicated and respected.

Memorandum for Disposition of Remains

All estate plans include a memorandum for the disposition of remains, allowing clients to specify their funeral arrangements and wishes for the handling of their remains. This document is completed by the client and can be updated on their own as often as they like, ensuring their preferences are clearly documented and respected when the time comes.

Six Months of Post-Signing Assistance

We understand that our clients lead busy lives and may not have the time to complete their post-signing checklist immediately after signing their estate documents. That's why we offer ongoing support for up to six months after signing, answering questions that arise (via phone or email) to ensure clients feel confident as they complete the tasks outlined in their post-signing checklist.
